UGC Fake University List 2024 PDF

University Grants Commission (UGC) has released the latest list of 20 fake university list in India on 2 October 2023. Most of the fake or unrecognized universities in the recently released UGC fake university list are from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. These fake universities are no empowered to grant any degree but engaged in the business of awarding fake degrees and using word university in their name. As per UGC Act 1956 under section 22, "The right of conferring or granting degrees shall be exercised only by a university established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, a Provincial Act or a State Act or an institution deemed to be a University under Section 3 or an institution specially empowered by an Act of Parliament to confer or grant degrees. Section 23 of UGC Act "prohibits the use of the word 'University' by any institution other than a university established as stated above. UGC Fake University List 2024

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has updated a list of 20 fake universities on 02 October 2023. The students are advised to beware of these self styled 20 fake universities which are not approved by University Grants Commission (UGC). These fake universities are not entitled to offer any degree to students, only defraud & cheat innocent students by awarding fake degrees.
