Agnipath Scheme Eligibility List: Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) has approved The "Agnipath Scheme", which is a truly transformative reform that will enhance the combat potential of the Indian Armed Forces, with young and technologically adept soldiers.

Indian government had announced the radical and far reaching "Agnipath Yojana" on 13th June 2022, deploying defence minister and the 3 Service Chiefs to deflect criticism that it will undermine the armed forces professionalism, ethos and fighting spirit as well as potentially lead to the militarisation of civil society.

Agnipath Scheme Eligibility List

Agniveers will have meet the physical and medical eligibility conditions as applicable to respective categories/trades

  • Solider General Duty
    • Metric /10th passed with minimum 33% marks
    • Minimum age limit 17 ½ and Maximum age limit 21 Years
    • Martial Status should be unmarried
  • Solider Technical
    • 12th Passed with 50% marks with Physics Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in 11th and 12th class
    • Minimum age limit 17 ½ and Maximum age limit 23 Years
    • Martial Status should be unmarried
  • Solider Clerk
    • 12th Passed from any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with minimum 60% marks
    • Minimum age limit 17 ½ and Maximum age limit 23 Years
    • Martial Status should be unmarried
  • Solider Tradesman
    • 8th passed or 10th passed according to trades.
    • Minimum age limit 17 ½ and Maximum age limit 23 Years
    • Martial Status should be unmarried
  • Nursing Assistant
    • 12th Passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with minimum 50% marks and 40% in each subjects.

Physical Standards for Indian Army Agniveers - GD, Clerk, Tradesman

  • Height :- Indian Army Height for Soldier GD, Clerk, SKT, tradesman, technical and nursing assistant post depends on your region. height standard state wise is given in the table.
  • Weight :- Minimum weight for all state candidates should be 48 Kg
  • Chest :- Minimum chest for all-region candidates is 77-82 cm

Indian Army Physical Fitness Test requirements

  • Running :- 1.6 Km running for all categories in 5 min 30 sec
  • Pull-ups :- 10 Pushups
  • Zig Zag balance :- walk over a zig-zag balance and completion of walk and land properly.
  • 9 Feet Ditch :- Candidate has to jump over a 9 feet hurdle or ditch.
